# Your release checklist is already a test plan

Paste your QA checklist. Zerocheck drafts editable browser tests, runs them in your app, and shows the result of each item before you save it.

Before a release, an engineer opens the checklist and repeats the same flows: signing in, searching, changing a setting. The result is a tick in a document, with little context when a later release fails.

Paste that checklist into the web app instead. You'll see one test per top-level item before anything runs. Each draft then runs in a hosted browser, and each item keeps its passing, failed or unresolved result. Save the tests you want to run.

A checklist item needs an expected outcome, not just a sequence of clicks. If an item doesn't say what should happen, Zerocheck asks rather than guessing.

## How to do it in Zerocheck

1. Configure your app URL and the login steps for a test account.
2. Paste text or upload a Markdown or text checklist, and preview one test per top-level item.
3. Review the drafted steps, screenshots and expected outcome, and supply any missing details.
4. Save tests in the web app and run them there. To run one from your repository, download its YAML and use the CLI.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do I need a repository or an install?

No. Start in the web app with a URL the hosted browser can reach. Use the optional CLI for localhost or an existing CI job.

### What happens to unsupported checklist items?

They stay visible as unresolved items. A failed or unsupported item is never silently removed or marked passing.

### Can I edit the tests?

Yes. Edit web tests in the web app and download their YAML. CLI tests live in your repository.
